This goodie bag contains a 30ml of 460 or 220 oil, a 30ml Lubricating oil and a curve tipped syringe.See below for product description.
Our 460 Compound Steam Oil is specially selected for use with most brands of live steam garden railway locomotives, and our own piston and cylinder upgrades. Compound Steam Oil is different from other lubricating oils as it emulsifies with steam under pressure, which is ideal for lubricating 'O' ring pistons. The oil is very thick and so best to warm it up on a cold day by rolling the bottle between your hands a few time to thin the oil ready for pouring or injecting into the oil cup. The heat from the boiler then keeps it thin enough to feed through the lubricator pipe.
Roundhouse recommend using 220 grade oil with their live steam garden railway locos. Our 220 Compound Steam Oil is a thinner oil compared to the 460 variety and is specially selected for use with Rousehouse internally gas fired live steam garden railway locomotives. This is actually compound bearing oil which has been selected by Roundhouse, after extensive reasearch and testing, to be the best grade oil to use in their displacement lubricators.
We have specially selected this vintage grade oil for general lubrication of all moving parts on live steam garden railway locomotives and rolling stock. Comes in handy 30ml bottle with dropper cap for easy application.
A handy little syringe to have in the tool box. Ideal for applying oil or feeding meths spirit with its fine curved tipped end. Can also be used to draw water off from displacement lubricators. 10ml capacity.
