Piko have expanded their range of G scale locomotives to include digital sound and with a smoke generator. The latest release in this range is an 0-6-0 tender locomotive in PRR livery.
The sound chip is dual-mode, meaning that it will work automatically in Analogue DC operation, or controlled by the user when used on a DCC layout. The range of sounds is wide, from the chuff of the exhaust to the brakes, and all the bells and whistles in between. The bell and grade crossing signals can even be made to activate by trackside magnets.
This locomotive can be used to haul all sorts of freight or passenger stock but is best suited to the Pennslyvania Railroad wooden coaches:
